Today, 17 May 2025, we will be speaking with representatives of Girls Guides Bahamas. Talking to us about the invaluable work of the organisation will be Mrs. Gillian Wilson, Deputy Chief Commissioner and Mrs. Terah Johnson, Trainer and District Commissioner. Mrs. Elma Garraway will also be joining the conversation.

The Bahamas Girl Guides Association is a 108 year old organization that continues to run programs for girls and young women and non-members from vulnerable communities aged five (5) through to adulthood – encouraging values, culture, leadership, environmental stewardship, and Good Citizenship.

Their Mission is “To provide opportunities for the development of girls and young women, to build self-esteem, to develop positive attitudes, and to become contributing citizens both Nationally and Internationally.”
