Currently, at the Organization for Responsible Governance (ORG), Vanessa leads the Map4Good Bahamas project, a necessary and significant effort to document and visualize the vast landscape of Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) including Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) in The Bahamas. This initiative aims to foster collaboration among these groups, creating opportunities for positive change and enhancing the resilience of communities throughout the island, strengthening organizational capacity, and establishing a critical foundation for future advancements in this area. In addition to her leadership of Map4Good, Vanessa actively supports other ORG work and initiatives, contributing to the organization's broader mission to advance good governance across the nation.

Map4Good focuses on mapping nonprofit organizations (NPO), including faith-based organizations (FBO), providing a comprehensive public directory and an interactive map. This will include key demographic information, services, geographic coverage, and other relevant data to inform decision-making and strategic planning in the sector. This information will be collected via survey and data analysis.

 

The project is crucial for enhancing the coordination, effectiveness, and impact of NPOs and FBOs in the Bahamas. This project will help address existing knowledge gaps and support better resource allocation, disaster preparedness, and community-based efforts, by providing a foundation for deeper analysis.
