14 December 2024, we spoke with players from the Blue Marlins travel junior baseball team, who recently won a U8 championship series in Houston, Texas. Joining us was Coach Lyndon ‘Lyn’ Wallace, Coach Andrew ‘Moosy’ Wong Sr., and two junior baseball players, eight year old Owen Wells II and seven year old Andrew Wong Jr.

We discussed the historic win, the opportunities available to young players, the work of Coach Lyn and his initiative, The Batter’s Box, as well as the importance of encouraging our young people to get involved in sports, especially the significance of parental involvement and what more can be done to help the sport in The Bahamas.
