The Happy Hour - April 26 2025

26 April 2025, we will be speaking with representatives of the 23rd Annual Ball Committee of the Cancer Society of The Bahamas. Talking to us about the importance of fundraising and philanthropy to support this critical cause and more will be Richenda King, Sanchez Brooks, and Nicole Leary.

 

By supporting the Cancer Society's Annual Ball, you can not only provide hope to people living with cancer, but also help residents detect cancer in its early, most treatable stages. Raised funds will support the society's outreach programs and a significant construction project currently underway at their facility. In addition to fundraising, the event will honor individuals and organizations for their unwavering support. This year, the Susan Andrews Award will be presented to Dr. Robin Roberts, while CIBC will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Later in the show, we will host Andrew Gomez, who will walk us through the importance of April being Poetry Month, the use of prose as a creative outlet and recent avenues for artistic expression available to budding poets.
